LP 1974: \u2018ROXY & ELSEWHERE\u2019<\/a><\/b> (Zappa\/Mothers<\/i>)<\/div>\n
El 10 de septiembre de 1974 se public\u00f3 el \u00e1lbum en directo de Frank Zappa <\/i>y sus Mothers of Invention<\/i>, \u2018Roxy & Elsewhere\u2019. Aparecido seis meses despu\u00e9s de su trabajo anterior, \u2018Apostrophe\u2019, disco de oro y top10 en Billboard (su mejor posici\u00f3n en listas), est\u00e1 considerado uno de los mejores directos de una de las m\u00e1s celebradas formaciones de la banda (George Duke, Napoleon Murphy Brock, Jeff Simmons, Don Preston<\/i> y Ruth Underwood<\/i>, entre otros) y fue grabado en su mayor\u00eda en diciembre de 1973 en el Roxy Theatre<\/i> de Hollywood. Posteriormente algunos temas recibir\u00edan tomas de estudio adicionales. El resto (\u2019Elsewhere\u2019) se registr\u00f3 en el Edinboro State College<\/i> en Pensilvania y el Auditorium Theatre<\/i> de Chicago. Adem\u00e1s de los habituales temas en los que demuestran su virtuosismo instrumental como \u2018Echidna\u2019s art (Of you)\u2019 y \u2018Don\u2019t you ever wash that thing?\u2019, \u2018Bebop tango (of the old man\u2019s church)\u2019 en el que hace participar al p\u00fablico y contiene su famosa frase \u201cEl jazz no est\u00e1 muerto. S\u00f3lo huele raro\u201d<\/i>, el \u00e1lbum contiene en su edici\u00f3n original en vinilo, tres introducciones habladas de Zappa <\/i>en las que presenta las circunstancias de la composici\u00f3n y el contenido de los temas \u2018Penguin in bondage\u2019 (parodia sobre pr\u00e1cticas sexuales \u2018experimentales\u2019), \u2018Village of the sun\u2019 (canci\u00f3n autobiogr\u00e1fica sobre la vida en una peque\u00f1a ciudad del sur) y \u2018Cheepnis\u2019 (parodia sobre las pel\u00edculas de monstruos de baja producci\u00f3n de los a\u00f1os 50). LAS CANCIONES QUE DIERON FORMA AL ROCK & ROLL<\/div>\n
1991: \u2018SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT\u2019<\/a><\/b> (Nirvana<\/i>)<\/div>\n
El 10 de septiembre de 1991 se public\u00f3 el primer single de la banda estadounidense Nirvana<\/i>, tema que asimismo abr\u00eda el \u00e1lbum \u2018Nevermind\u2019 y que hoy est\u00e1 considerado como el single que puso el rock alternativo en el mainstream<\/i>. Fue su mayor hit alcanzando el puesto n\u00ba 6 del Hot100 y el n\u00ba1 en pa\u00edses como B\u00e9lgica, Francia y Espa\u00f1a. Nadie supo prever el descomunal \u00e9xito de la canci\u00f3n, cuya r\u00e1pida radiodifusi\u00f3n y la favorable acogida del p\u00fablico hizo que los medios la denominaran como el \u2018himno de los ap\u00e1ticos j\u00f3venes de la generaci\u00f3n x\u2019 hecho que incomod\u00f3 a los miembros de la banda hasta el punto que en sus \u00faltimos conciertos la eliminaron de su repertorio. El video musical recibi\u00f3 dos MTV awards<\/i> y fue el m\u00e1s emitido en MTV <\/i>Europa.
